Why The Need

BEST/PTO was formed primarily to foster collaboration between parents and educators, enhancing the educational experience and support for students.

  • Our schools often face budget constraints, and the BEST/PTO is instrumental in raising funds to support programs, resources, and activities that are not covered by the school’s budget. This can include classroom supplies, extracurricular activities, field trips, and facility improvements.

  • BEST/PTO gives parents a collective voice to advocate for policies and programs that benefit their schools. This advocacy can extend to local and state government issues, emphasizing the importance of quality education.

  • BEST/PTO organizes extracurricular events like science fairs, book fairs, family nights, and cultural celebrations, enhancing the educational experience beyond academics.

One of our goals is to unite the efforts of families and educators, providing support that ensures students have access to enriched and well-rounded educational opportunities.

  • BEST/PTO helps create a bridge between home and school, encouraging parents to take an active role in their child’s education. They provide a platform for families to engage with the school community and contribute to decision-making processes.

  • BEST/PTO organizes and mobilizes parent volunteers to assist with school events, activities, and initiatives. This support lightens the workload for teachers and staff while enriching the student experience.

  • By bringing parents, teachers, and administrators together, BEST/PTO helps build a sense of community and partnership. This collaboration fosters trust and communication, which ultimately benefits the students.
